About Lindsey
I've been immersed in the fitness industry for 6 years now, starting with teaching group fitness classes during my college years at UofL, which ignited my passion for motivating and helping others through fitness. This path led me to become a Spin Instructor, Group Fitness Instructor, and finally a Certified Personal Trainer. My goal is to make your fitness journey not only effective but also enjoyable, ensuring you feel safe and strong every step of the way.
Additionally, community is paramount to me—I believe in fostering connection and motivation in every client, creating an environment where everyone feels part of something special!
Certifications
ACE Certified Personal Trainer
An ACE Certified Personal Trainer is a fitness professional who has been certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE), a globally recognized organization dedicated to certifying fitness professionals and advancing their careers.
Pain-Free Performance Specialist Certification (PPSC)
An integrated prevention based system for personal trainers, coaches and physical therapists to optimize their client’s fitness and performance around the common presence of pain, dysfunction and injuries.
Functional Kettlebell Training Certification (FKT)
The FKT program teaches how to use the kettlebell in ways that take advantage of it’s unique shape and training opportunities. The FKT understands that different people need different options, and as such every drill taught provides safe and effective options to accomplish the same goals.
With the FKT, I am confident in how to utilize the Kettlebell to uniquely load many variations of swings, cleans, snatches, presses, rows, windmills, getups, squats and more.
My Personal Journey
Entering my late-20s, I gained around 50 pounds in 6 months. In May 2023, I went on a dream trip to Europe, expecting an amazing time. While I did have some wonderful moments, I was often in tears taking pictures, shocked by how much weight I had truly gained. I couldn't fully enjoy myself and felt frustrated that such an incredible trip was overshadowed by my body image issues. That experience made me realize I needed a significant lifestyle change; I never wanted my weight to hinder my enjoyment of life again.
My journey has been filled with trial and error, and it has been far from linear. As I continue to discover what works best for me and my body, I've found routines, structure, and a sustainable lifestyle that make me feel better than ever before.
Now, I'm excited to share my findings and experience with others, inspiring them to gain the confidence and self-belief that I've rediscovered.
